Community Invited to Boost Research Through Fundraising

A Euan MacDonald Centre community fundraising stall with people sharing their fundraising ideas.

Jan 2026: The Euan MacDonald Centre is encouraging supporters to get involved in a range of fundraising activities designed to support vital research.

The Euan MacDonald Centre is a not-for-profit, charitable network of over 250 scientists, doctors and healthcare professionals across Scotland. Founded in 2007, the Centre aims to make discoveries that will slow, stop, and ultimately reverse the devastating effects of MND.

Supporters can take part in charity runs, sponsored walks and cycling challenges, or create their own events—from bake sales and coffee mornings to quiz nights and beetle drives!

Businesses are also being invited to nominate the Euan MacDonald Centre as their “charity of the year,” offering colleagues a chance to fundraise collectively through workplace events.

For those who prefer online engagement, the Centre welcomes digital campaigns, including birthday fundraisers and virtual challenges, which allow supporters to contribute from anywhere in the world.

Every fundraiser, big or small, plays a role in strengthening research into motor neuron disease.
