Dr Ratko Radakovic
Dr Ratko Radakovic’s research focuses on changes in thinking and behaviour, particularly demotivation and apathy, that can occur for people with MND, as well as other neurological, psychiatric, and neurodegenerative conditions. Dr Radakovic and colleagues have developed a measure of different types of apathy (called the Dimensional Apathy Scale) that has broad applications to research and clinical practice. His aims are to combine research and practice within the clinical setting to increase the practical application of research findings within the wider healthcare professions, as well as to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of people living with these conditions and their families.
Dr Radakovic studied Psychology at the University of Hull before specialising in Neuropsychology at the University of Edinburgh, where he received his PhD and Masters. He then trained to become a Clinical Psychology at University of East Anglia, where he currently holds an Honorary Lecturer position, while also practicing clinically in Cambridge. He is a Chartered Research and Clinical Psychologist from the British Psychological Society, alongside other longstanding society memberships.
