Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026

Edinburgh is the second largest marathon in the UK. Fast and flat, this course is ideal if it’s your first marathon or you are looking for a PB.

The Edinburgh Marathon is a fantastic route which takes in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks as well as offering picturesque views along the East Lothian coastline. Voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runner’s World, the Edinburgh Marathon is ideal if this is your first marathon or you are looking for a new personal best. But you’ll need to be quick to get your place as the Edinburgh Marathon has sold out every year since 2008.

Every penny you raise will directly support research to improve the lives of people living with motor neuron disease (MND) and related conditions.

We have partnered with EMF to offer a limited number of charity places to this event. There is a minimum sponsorship requirement for runners applying for a charity place, but not for runners buying their own place. The choice is yours and you’ll receive a free branded t-shirt or running top either way.
